Why WWE RAW Has a Special Start Time Next Week

The upcoming June 30th episode of WWE RAW will air at a special, earlier start time of 6 PM ET. According to a report from Fightful Select, the two-hour schedule shift is to accommodate a double-taping, with the July 4th edition of WWE SmackDown set to be filmed immediately following the live RAW broadcast.

This logistical adjustment will take place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The decision allows WWE to provide its talent and production crew with the July 4th holiday off. Despite the earlier start, the show will still stream live for all viewers on Netflix as scheduled.

World Tag Team Championship Match Announced

Viewers tuning in for the early broadcast will see a championship match. The New Day, represented by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, are set to defend their WWE World Tag Team Titles against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

The title defense was made official during the June 23rd episode of WWE RAW.
