Wrestling Legend criticizes Roman Reigns and CM Punk segment
Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette shares his thoughts on the dramatic face-off between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, criticizing its theatrical presentation ahead of WWE Survivor Series.

Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette expressed criticism over Roman Reigns and CM Punk’s recent face-off segment on SmackDown, which took place before WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada.
The segment, arranged by Paul Heyman, featured both competitors putting their differences aside to address the threat posed by Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline and Bronson Reed. However, Cornette took issue with the presentation during his Jim Cornette Experience podcast.
“That’s why they ain’t Hollywood. If this segment had been on AEW, we would be roasting it because of the overly dramatic nature, the ominous music, and the sitdown in the dark room. It was a movie scene,” Cornette said.
The meeting between Reigns and Punk led to their temporary alliance at Survivor Series: WarGames, where they united against Solo Sikoa’s faction. Despite the segment’s importance in storyline development, Cornette maintained that its theatrical elements were excessive.
