WWE 2K25 Reveals New Mechanics and Significant Updates

Visual Concepts has unveiled multiple innovations for WWE 2K25, which launches in March for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The game introduces a redesigned submission system, offering players a slider-based mini-game as an alternative to the traditional button-pressing mechanics, providing enhanced control and precision during matches.

WWE 2K25 marks a franchise milestone by introducing intergender matches, allowing competition between male and female performers, including legends. Players can recreate historic encounters such as Chyna versus Eddie Guerrero or replicate moments like Nia Jax’s Royal Rumble appearance.

The ladder match system receives a complete overhaul with a new mini-game design that captures match intensity. Players must complete timed actions and can now execute finishing moves from the ladder, including Eddie Guerrero’s Frog Splash and Randy Savage’s Big Elbow.

The Chain Wrestling system returns with improvements to recreate technical exchanges during match openings. Additional features include Barricade Climbing, enabling characters like Kofi Kingston to traverse ringside barriers before executing aerial attacks.

The game also implements advanced AI settings, allowing customization of character move timing and execution patterns, with these settings being compatible with Community Creations.
