WWE Accused of Adding Fake Boos for Charlotte Flair on Recent SmackDown
Vince Russo alleges WWE added artificial crowd reactions during Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton’s confrontation on SmackDown.

Allegations of audio manipulation have emerged following the April 4 edition of SmackDown, with claims that WWE artificially enhanced crowd reactions during a segment featuring Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton. The confrontation, which reportedly deviated significantly from the planned script, has since been removed from WWE’s official social media channels.
Former WWE writer Vince Russo made these accusations during an episode of his BroDown podcast, specifically stating that the company inserted fake boos for Charlotte Flair despite the live audience remaining relatively quiet during the segment. According to Russo, this audio enhancement was clearly noticeable when comparing the broadcast sound with visible crowd reactions.
Guys, don’t be so naive. They were clearly booing Charlotte. Nobody was booing in the arena. Nobody. Not one person was booing. Here’s what happened. Charlotte completely buried Tiffy last week, remember? So that’s why they did this… They booed Charlotte so loudly and you look around the crowd, and not one person is booing.
The situation gained additional attention when WrestleVotes reported that both performers largely abandoned their planned dialogue during the segment. Backstage reactions were reportedly immediate and intense, with many considering the situation had become confusing. WWE’s decision to completely remove the unplanned content from their digital platforms further fueled speculation about the company’s dissatisfaction with how the segment played out.
This controversy adds another layer to the ongoing rivalry between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton as they approach their scheduled match at WrestleMania 41.
