WWE confirmed LA Knight will challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship on next week’s SmackDown.
The title opportunity follows Nakamura’s interference in Knight’s tag team match with R-Truth against The Miz and Carmelo Hayes on the February 21st episode.
Knight captured the United States Championship from Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2024. His reign included successful defenses against Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser before losing the title to Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames.
