WWE Backstage Reaction to Naomi-Belair SmackDown Segment Revealed

The segment on WWE SmackDown featuring Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill received positive feedback within the company.

Jade Cargill returned at WWE Elimination Chamber and attacked Naomi inside the Chamber instead of targeting Liv Morgan. This marked Cargill’s first appearance since November 2024 after being attacked by an initially unknown assailant.

Prior to the attack, Cargill held the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bianca Belair. Following the incident that put Cargill through a car hood and windshield, Naomi stepped in as Belair’s tag team partner.

Belair managed to win the Women’s Elimination Chamber match despite witnessing Cargill attack Naomi. The victory earned Belair a championship opportunity against Women’s World Champion IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41.

During a segment on WWE SmackDown in Philadelphia, Belair confronted Naomi seeking an explanation about the attack on Cargill. After initially hesitating, Naomi admitted to being responsible for the attack on Cargill.

Naomi revealed she believed she should have been Belair’s tag team partner from the beginning. She also stated she “did it for Naomi,” echoing a storyline from 2000 when her father-in-law Rikishi claimed he ran over Steve Austin “for The Rock.” After Belair left the ring upset, Naomi called her an “ungrateful bi**h.”

Jade Cargill then arrived at the arena, walked toward the ring, looked at Belair, and entered the squared circle. Cargill proceeded to attack Naomi, who was wearing a neckbrace, throwing her into the ring post before executing her Jaded finisher. The crowd responded positively to Cargill’s actions.
