The surprise appearance of JoJo Offerman at AEW All In: Texas created a significant emotional reaction that extended into the WWE locker room, highlighting a moment of cross-promotional unity. Reports that surfaced on July 16 detailed the internal WWE response to the former announcer’s performance.
Just before the match between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay, Offerman took the stage to perform “Ain’t Nobody,” a song Strickland used for his entrance before his time in WWE. The performance also served as a quiet tribute to her late fiancé, Bray Wyatt, a detail that was felt deeply by people across the industry.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the moment was received with warmth inside WWE.
“JoJo, I believe, has a positive relationship with both companies. There were people in WWE that were very, very happy to see that and were hoping that she would end up getting signed with AEW in some capacity. And AEW is very happy with her performance as a ring announcer when they had her come in and told me that they would be using her more. But it was very emotional for many people, and there were actually a lot of people within WWE that I spoke to that thought that the Firefly touch was very classy on AEW’s part.”
The tribute was seen as a “very classy” move by AEW, and the company was reportedly pleased with the outcome, with plans to feature Offerman again. Backstage photos from the event also showed Offerman reuniting with Mercedes Moné, underscoring the community of former WWE talent now shaping moments within AEW. The sentiment from within WWE was reportedly one of hope that this appearance leads to more opportunities for her, marking a noteworthy crossover in the current wrestling landscape.
