WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 41 continue to evolve, with John Cena expected to win the upcoming Elimination Chamber match and challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, internal discussions have suggested a potential modification to this match structure.
During a recent edition of SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A, WrestleVotes revealed information about possible changes to the championship match configuration.
I don’t know if it’s been discussed in an official capacity, but I do know there are people there that would rather that match [Rhodes vs. Cena vs. Punk] than Reigns vs. Punk vs. Rollins if that matters at all. I don’t know, but I do know that there are some people who would prefer that.
Dave Meltzer has previously reported that John Cena is confirmed for the Elimination Chamber match, with current creative plans positioning him to challenge Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
The potential inclusion of CM Punk in the championship match would alter the currently planned triple threat match featuring Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. However, these discussions remain in preliminary stages, with no official decisions confirmed.
