WWE has officially dropped the “Freakin” nickname from Seth Rollins’ name, with the change now reflected on the company’s roster page. The alteration comes after fans noticed the nickname’s absence from his entrance graphics in recent weeks.
Rollins has used the “Freakin” moniker since his 2022 babyface turn, making it a key part of his character. The official website now lists him simply as “Seth Rollins” rather than “Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.”
The name change coincides with Rollins’ recent victory over CM Punk in a Steel Cage Match on the March 10 edition of RAW on Netflix. The win came with assistance from Roman Reigns, who pulled Rollins out of the cage, giving him the victory.
Following the match, Reigns attacked Rollins in retaliation for events that occurred at Royal Rumble 2025. The confrontation with Reigns and the name simplification may signal WWE’s plans for a new direction for Rollins’ character.
