WWE Clash In Paris Main Event Reportedly Revealed

The World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four-Way match is reportedly set to main event Clash in Paris today. According to a report from Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net citing an internal match order from this morning, the title bout will close the show.

The match will see Seth Rollins defend his championship against CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. Rollins’ reign began at SummerSlam earlier this month when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk just moments after Punk had won the title from Gunther.

The path to this four-way match was solidified on the August 11 episode of Raw. After Punk, Knight, and Uso each demanded a title shot, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the match in response to Rollins causing a no-contest by interfering in a tag team bout.

Due to the no-disqualification rules of the match, outside interference is expected. Rollins has recently aligned himself with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, while there has been speculation that The Bloodline could appear to support Jey Uso. The report from Bodyslam.net also noted that the main event may be used to set up an angle for the upcoming WrestlePalooza in September.

Clash in Paris is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET. The show will also be the final main roster premium live event to stream on Peacock in the United States before WWE programming moves to ESPN.
