WWE Concerned About TNA Partnership’s Future

A WWE source reportedly fears new data could weaken TNA's position in TV deal talks, even as TNA's president dismisses the concern.

WWE Concerned About TNA Partnership’s Future

A WWE production source has voiced concern that new ratings data might be used against TNA in its ongoing television deal talks, according to Fightful Select.

TNA President Carlos Silva, however, doesn’t share that concern. He told TV Insider that the Nielsen ratings issue hasn’t come up in discussions and confirmed that the company is negotiating with one unnamed outlet.

Silva also highlighted the growing collaboration between TNA and WWE, especially through NXT. “Working with the NXT folks as well as WWE folks has been very easy. There has been great coordination,” he said. “We’ve supported each other with last-minute asks on both sides, which I think is a testament to a good partnership. It’s not just one asking. We might ask, or they might ask, and we always find a way to move things forward.”

Partnership in Focus

That alliance is set to shine at the upcoming WWE NXT Showdown this Tuesday in Orlando. The crossover has already fueled speculation about talent movement, including Joe Hendry, who recently appeared on NXT but was not chosen for either Team TNA or Team NXT in the special event.

As TNA balances its WWE partnership with high-stakes media rights negotiations, the next steps will be watched closely.
