Following his dramatic split from Solo Sikoa’s faction, WWE has significant plans to position Jacob Fatu as a premier babyface, according to a new report from WrestleVotes Radio. The company is reportedly preparing a massive promotional campaign to elevate the profile of “The Samoan Werewolf.”
A key part of this strategy involves a unique merchandising initiative. WWE plans to roll out exclusive, city-themed merchandise for Fatu, created in collaboration with local sports teams in the markets the company visits. This level of marketing has historically been reserved for only the most elite talent.
“That kind of marketing effort has historically been reserved for elite talent,” WrestleVotes stated. “You’re talking about guys like John Cena and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin… and now they’re throwing Jacob Fatu into that scenario.”
This backstage confidence follows Fatu’s major on-screen turn at Money in the Bank on June 7, where he officially betrayed Solo Sikoa. The turn solidified his fan-favorite status, which had grown organically due to his intense in-ring style and charisma since debuting on the June 21, 2024, episode of SmackDown.
The feud with Sikoa’s group continues to be a central storyline. On the July 12 episode of SmackDown, Sikoa claimed Fatu was “gone” from the brand, a development designed to build their rivalry. In his fight against the faction, Fatu has found an ally in his cousin, Jimmy Uso.
