WWE Forced to Halt Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez Feud
Reports suggest WWE has cooled off on the anticipated Roxanne Perez vs. Bayley rivalry despite their multiple confrontations across NXT and premium live events.

The wrestling world was buzzing about Roxanne Perez’s potential main roster trajectory, but it seems WWE might have already changed course on what looked like a natural rivalry brewing between her and the former Women’s Champion.
Sean Ross Sapp addressed the situation on the latest Fightful Select Q&A Podcast when asked about the future of the Perez-Bayley program.
Yeah, I haven’t heard that mentioned at all in the last few weeks, and it was brought up quite a bit.
The apparent shelving comes after Perez and Bayley crossed paths several times in early 2025, including a tag team match on the January 28 episode of NXT, a four-way clash at NXT Vengeance Day, and high-stakes competition in the Elimination Chamber match. This string of confrontations, combined with Perez’s impressive Royal Rumble showing and subsequent match against Jordynne Grace at NXT Roadblock, had all the makings of a calculated build toward a significant main roster program.
With Bayley now seemingly focused elsewhere and no clear direction announced for Perez, the question remains whether WWE is retooling her introduction to the broader audience or simply waiting for the right moment to reintroduce her to RAW viewers. Whatever the reasoning, fans who were eagerly anticipating this clash of generations will have to wait and see if WWE revisits what once appeared to be an inevitable collision course.
