WWE Hall of Famer Could Return During Major Night of Champions Match

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is reportedly poised for a return to the company, with plans centering on the all-women’s Evolution premium live event. The event is scheduled to take place on July 13 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

An official announcement of her comeback was originally scripted for the June 13 edition of WWE SmackDown. According to reports, the segment, which included prepared graphics, was scheduled to air right before a promo by John Cena but was ultimately pulled from the show. Despite the change in plans, sources indicate that Stratus’s return is still considered “on the books” and she is expected to be part of the Evolution event.

Stratus last competed for WWE at the Elimination Chamber event in February 2025, where she teamed with Tiffany Stratton in a losing effort against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. She also participated in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

The reported return adds to what has already been a significant 25th anniversary year for the wrestling legend. On February 28, the International Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame announced that Stratus would be its first inductee for the Class of 2025. The ceremony for that honor is scheduled for October 12.

Further speculation surrounds the Evolution event, as former WWE talent Vickie Guerrero has also reportedly told people she will be returning to the company soon, potentially for the same show.
