WWE Hall of Famer Details Painful Airport Fall

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase sustained a black eye and badly bruised ribs after a fall at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. DiBiase confirmed the incident and his injuries on his Everybody’s Got a Pod podcast, clarifying that he did not suffer any broken bones.

The fall happened while DiBiase was rushing to his gate. He tripped and went down face-first after a child fell directly in his path.

“There were some kids there, and they were playing around, and they were just kids being kids. One of them, like, fell right in front of me, and I had no choice. I was hustling… I did a face bump. I mean, I went down. I went down hard, buddy. I had a, I don’t know if you can see it, a black eye. The rest of it is, it was, it’s my right side.”

DiBiase noted that a gate attendant provided a rag for his bleeding face following the fall. He compared the severe bruising on his right side to a previous rib fracture, using the past injury to describe the intensity of the pain.

He also commented on the irony of the situation.

“I have had a broken rib before. And if you have a broken rib, you can’t breathe. And even now, even though there’s nothing broken, I’ve got a really good bruise, but it’s so sore. You talk about the embarrassment, right? The Million Dollar Man, you know, takes a big bump in the Atlanta airport.”
