WWE Hall Of Famer Says Becky Lynch’s Run Is Over After Controversial RAW Promo

Fresh off a pivotal night at Clash in Paris where she retained her Intercontinental Championship and solidified her place in “The Vision” by helping her husband Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch finds her recent actions under harsh scrutiny from a WWE Hall of Famer. While WWE creative is reportedly discussing major future plans for her, Kevin Nash has publicly stated he believes Lynch’s time at the top is over.

The critique from Nash stems from a promo segment on the August 25th edition of Monday Night RAW. While in the ring with Nikki Bella, Lynch addressed the live audience in Birmingham, England, and made a controversial reference to the recently deceased Ozzy Osbourne. “The only good thing that came outta here died a month ago,” Lynch said. “But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to L.A. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”

Speaking on his podcast, Kevin Nash was direct when asked if Lynch had crossed a line to get heat. “I think her run’s over. I think she’s grasping,” Nash said. He later added, “I think the business has passed her by.”

Nash elaborated on his position by referencing his status as a TKO shareholder and the public image of the company. “You know they always say, ‘Any kind of publicity is good publicity.’ I don’t know, man. If somebody passes and you fck with the family, and the daughter makes the comment, I don’t think that’s exactly the look WWE or its shareholders… want coming out of somebody’s mouth as a shareholder.”*

The comments from Nash present a starkly different perspective on Lynch’s current trajectory. At Clash in Paris, she interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship main event, delivering a low blow to CM Punk that allowed Rollins to retain his title. That action officially cemented her as a member of The Vision. With Wrestlepalooza scheduled for September 20, internal creative pitches have even suggested a potential mixed tag team match pitting Rollins and Lynch against CM Punk and a returning AJ Lee.
