WWE Has Already Selected Its Next Three Major Stars for the Future

According to a report in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is actively building its next group of main event talent to eventually join the likes of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk at the top of the card. The company is reportedly focusing on Rhea Ripley, Jacob Fatu, and Bron Breakker as foundational pieces for the future, a move that gains importance as John Cena is expected to depart by the end of 2025.

The push for Jacob Fatu is particularly ambitious, with WWE planning a major promotional and creative effort to establish him as a franchise-defining babyface. This initiative includes the launch of exclusive city-themed merchandise, a strategy historically reserved for top-tier stars like John Cena and Cody Rhodes. This marketing push supports his on-screen direction following a recent babyface turn and aligns with Dave Meltzer’s analysis of his unique style—an exciting and unpredictable presence that gets crowds cheering.

For Bron Breakker, the company is taking a deliberate approach. Paul Heyman has been working closely with Breakker, preparing him for a larger role and helping him develop his microphone skills to match his impressive athletic ability. Breakker already received significant praise for his performance in a gauntlet match on this past week’s WWE RAW, signaling his readiness for more prominent spots.

Rhea Ripley is clearly being positioned as the future leader of the women’s division. Already one of the company’s biggest stars, she remains a major focus on television, and her growth in the main event scene continues to be a priority.

The report also identified Trick Williams as another talent with significant potential. His charisma makes him a natural babyface, and his microphone skills are considered excellent. While his in-ring work is still developing compared to the other three, his personality and promo ability have him on the cusp of main event status.
