A backstage change occurred during the January 17 WWE SmackDown at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, affecting The Bloodline segments. Fightful Select reports Jamie Noble produced The Bloodline-related content instead of Michael Hayes.

Solo Sikoa returned to WWE television following his loss to Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat on the January 6 WWE Raw Netflix premiere. While advertised to address the crowd, Sikoa departed the ring without speaking.

Jacob Fatu addressed the audience in Sikoa’s place, declaring that fans “haven’t seen anything” from him yet. LA Knight and Braun Strowman interrupted the segment.

According to Fightful Select, Michael Hayes, who typically produces all Bloodline segments, was not listed as a producer for any segments during the show. The change appears temporary, as Hayes was absent from the event.

WWE announced two matches following the segment. Jacob Fatu faces Braun Strowman at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25. Additionally, Tama Tonga competes against LA Knight on the January 24 SmackDown.

Strowman and Fatu have been involved in an ongoing rivalry for several months. Their previous confrontation occurred at Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVIII, where Fatu lost the match but left Strowman bloodied afterward.

Jacob Fatu targeted Strowman specifically during the chaos. Fatu hit Strowman with two Moonsaults in the middle of the ring before escalating his assault. The Samoan Werewolf then tackled Strowman through the barricade at ringside to conclude the segment.

The intensity of this confrontation between Fatu and Strowman suggests a potential singles match between the two powerhouses at WWE WrestleMania 41 next month.

Roman Reigns Reportedly Has Issues with Major Bloodline Member

Konnan discusses reports that Roman Reigns has issues with Jacob Fatu’s conditioning and responds to allegations about Fatu’s personal circumstances on K100 podcast.

Konnan has addressed reports claiming Roman Reigns is unhappy with Jacob Fatu on a recent episode of the K100 podcast.

The discussion centered around allegations that Reigns is displeased with Fatu, specifically claims that Fatu hasn’t been training and has “let himself go” after earning a steady income. These concerns were reportedly topics of conversation among WWE employees.

Konnan questioned the legitimacy of these reports while reflecting on Fatu’s past circumstances before joining WWE.

So if this story is true, I could see him—he’s always been broke. He has seven kids. He had problems with his baby mama because she wouldn’t give him his passport so he could travel. Anyway, I think he’s made some money, and [now] he’s hanging out with his kids and is living a better life than usual; probably didn’t go to train.

Konnan expressed doubt that Fatu would return to previous lifestyle patterns, noting his strong position on SmackDown since his arrival.

I highly doubt he’s doing any of his street life thing anymore, but he definitely was when he was in MLW. Maybe he hasn’t been getting in shape. I never remember him ever having a [health] condition problem. […] At the end of the day, it’s Hunter’s [Triple H] decision, and he knows Fatu is money.

Fatu joined WWE in June 2024 and initially worked as The Bloodline’s Enforcer under Solo Sikoa before transitioning to a singles competition role this year.
