WWE just made decision impacting Seth Rollins’ career, says wrestler himself

Seth Rollins sees WWE’s reduction in live events as a potential career extender. Speaking on the Insight podcast, the former World Champion discussed how the decreased schedule impacts his longevity in professional wrestling.

Rollins reflected on the benefits of WWE’s new approach:

Live Events, non-televised events have kind of dissipated, which for guys like me, I’ve wrestled over 2,000 matches in my career, that’s nice for me

This shift follows TKO President Mark Shapiro’s late 2024 announcement about reducing non-televised events. WWE’s first live event of 2025 is scheduled for March 15 in Dortmund, Germany, marking a significant decrease in the traditional house show schedule.

I feel like I’ll be able to extend my career probably longer than I thought I was going to and then it just depends on where I want to go from there

Marvel Role Cut From Upcoming Film

In a separate development, Rollins confirmed his removal from “Captain America: Brave New World.” During his appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s show, he explained the circumstances:

Truth be told, any answer I gave would only be my opinion on it. The script went through a lot of rewrites and reshoots so what I was there to do, essentially my role got either repurposed or completely erased

Rollins emphasized his primary focus remains on wrestling rather than acting, noting that his wife Becky Lynch has several upcoming projects, including a role in “Star Trek” and other unannounced productions. The situation mirrors Lynch’s own experience with Marvel, where her filmed scenes were ultimately not used in the final cut.
