WWE Legend Claims He Still Works for AEW Despite Reports of Deal Ending

Ric Flair has claimed he still works for AEW President Tony Khan, contradicting reports that his partnership with the company had ended. Flair made this statement in response to comments from Vince Russo suggesting Flair was trying to get on WWE television.

Flair addressed Russo’s remarks directly on social media, referring to Khan as his employer.

Please @THEVinceRusso, I Thought We Agreed That You Wouldn’t Use My Name To Get A Rating! I Work For My GREAT Friend And Employer @TonyKhan, Who Allows Me To Do Things With My Daughter And Understands The Importance Of Me Being In Attendance At Events Like The Hall Of Fame!

This statement contradicts previous reports from July 2024 indicating that Flair’s association with AEW had concluded.

Flair initially signed with AEW in 2023, where he reunited with his longtime friend Sting. His last appearance for the promotion occurred at the Revolution pay-per-view in 2024 during Sting’s retirement match.

Neither Khan nor AEW has publicly commented on Flair’s current status with the company since the July reports of their partnership ending.
