WWE Faces Backlash for Omitting Major Heel Turn from Recent Ranking
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms called out WWE on social media for not including Andre the Giant’s historic heel turn in their recent top 30 heel turns list.

Gregory Helms has expressed his disagreement with WWE regarding a recent YouTube video listing the top 30 heel turns in company history. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion took to social media to point out a notable omission.
WWE recently uploaded a YouTube video ranking the top 30 villainous heel turns in wrestling history, with John Cena’s recent turn on Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber claiming the top spot. The comprehensive list included memorable moments such as Hulk Hogan joining the nWo, Seth Rollins betraying The Shield, and Dominik Mysterio turning on Rey Mysterio.
Helms highlighted what he believes was a significant oversight in the rankings. The former WWE Superstar posted on X that Andre the Giant’s infamous turn on Hulk Hogan deserved recognition among the greatest heel turns in wrestling history.
IMO, Andre turning on Hulk is one of the biggest and most important turns in history. It deserves one of the top spots on this list. @WWE we got some editing to do. Helms hath spoken.

The video, which remains available on WWE’s YouTube channel, features other significant heel turns including Hulk Hogan’s nWo formation ranking second behind Cena’s recent betrayal of Rhodes.
Helms is currently signed to WWE under a Legend’s contract, maintaining an official relationship with the company despite not being an active competitor.
