As WWE continues to map out its long-term schedule, the first concrete details for its biggest show of 2026 have surfaced. While WrestleMania 42 is still months away, speculation about its top matches is already intensifying. A new promotional release on Tuesday appears to confirm the involvement of one of the company’s biggest-ever box office attractions.
WWE unveiled an official poster for WrestleMania 42 featuring Brock Lesnar alongside Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Jade Cargill.
Lesnar’s inclusion signals his first WrestleMania appearance since WrestleMania 39 in 2023, after missing WrestleMania 40 in 2024 and WrestleMania 41 in 2025.
The poster’s release coincided with the launch of an online pre-sale for two-day combo tickets, which opened Tuesday, September 23, on Ticketmaster.com with the code “ALLWWE.” WrestleMania 42 will take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lesnar’s return is especially notable in the context of his last match more than two years ago: a dominant squash victory over John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that booking came at Cena’s own request as part of his farewell tour strategy to elevate other talent.
Meltzer explained, “John is very altruistic, and he knows that, on his way out, he wants to create people. He wants to create big stars. So he felt that this was… his decision. And that was his decision.” He added that while Paul “Triple H” Levesque has the final word, a request of that magnitude from Cena would almost certainly be honored—especially with Lesnar committed to staying with the company.
