WWE Makes Major Announcement Involving Roman Reigns

The Tribal Chief is returning. WWE has confirmed Roman Reigns for Crown Jewel on October 11, featuring him prominently on the event’s new poster. Chief Content Officer Triple H revealed the graphic, which also highlights John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre.

Reigns has been off-screen for over three weeks. His last appearance came at Clash in Paris on August 31, where he was stretchered out after a post-match assault by The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

During his absence, Reigns filmed the upcoming Street Fighter movie in Australia, portraying Akuma. With the film set for theatrical release on October 16, 2026, his time in the country makes the Perth-based show a natural return spot.

The event at RAC Arena also showcases top female stars including Rhea Ripley, Jade Cargill, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. Two champion vs. champion matches are confirmed: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to determine the men’s Crown Jewel Champion, and Stratton vs. Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Stratton’s participation is not yet secured. She must first defend her title this Friday on SmackDown in a triple threat match against Cargill and Nia Jax.

Crown Jewel will also serve as a key stop on John Cena’s retirement tour, which now has only five dates left. Following his loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, this will be Cena’s final match as an active competitor in Australia.

Separately, WWE unveiled the poster for NXT’s Halloween Havoc on October 25 in Prescott Valley, Arizona, featuring Trick Williams, Oba Femi, Jacy Jayne, Ricky Saints, and Blake Monroe.
