Dave Meltzer previously reported that Goldberg was scheduled to appear at the January 27th episode of RAW in Atlanta, Georgia. The appearance was expected to follow up on his confrontation with Gunther and potentially set up his final match in 2025.
Neither WWE, Goldberg, nor the State Farm Arena have announced his appearance for the show. Dave Meltzer addressed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio.
So I don’t know about Goldberg, other than he was on the show. I have not heard confirmation that he’s on the show now, one way or the other, because he wasn’t advertised. Maybe they want to do a surprise.
When discussing the possibility of announcing Goldberg’s appearance at either the January 24th SmackDown or Saturday Night’s Main Event, Meltzer stated:
They could do that. But you would think that you would want to advertise Goldberg well in advance.
The January 27th RAW will focus on Saturday Night’s Main Event fallout and build toward the Royal Rumble.
