Coverage:
WWE NXT kicks off on The CW. Some wrestlers arrive at the venue: Zaria, Sol Ruca, The Culling, and Fatal Influence. Je’Von Evans enters and demands to see Josh Briggs, who appears on the ramp. Evans charges at him and the fight begins. Ava shows up and announces the start of the match.
Singles Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Josh Briggs
– Briggs wins after getting the pinfall against Evans.
Ava acts as a mediator in a discussion between Oba Femi and Ricky Saints. She suggests that the two settle their issues next week in a showdown. At that moment, Trick Williams shows up to make sure everything is ready before the meeting with #DIY later. Ava confirms that everything is set. Ricky questions what’s going on, and Trick replies that he wouldn’t understand since it’s a matter for champions. Before leaving, Trick turns to Oba and warns him that they’re not finished yet.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano step into the ring. Ciampa recalls that today marks ten years since the official debut of #DIY in NXT, while Gargano declares that this will always be their home. Ciampa adds that, after his last match in NXT, he knew it wouldn’t truly be his last.
Trick Williams interrupts the moment, saying that the week before he was attacked at a disadvantage by Gargano and Ciampa. He accuses the two of being jealous, claiming their team was never as good as his. He then calls out Carmelo Hayes, who comes out to face the duo. The fans chant Melo’s name, but he also confronts Trick, saying that since his departure, Williams has spoken both truths and lies. Melo demands that, in front of NXT legends, Trick show some respect.
Trick admits he said negative things about Melo, but emphasizes that NXT is still his house and he can act however he wants. Gargano and Ciampa respond with irony, which prompts Carmelo to remind them that they’re seen as some of the biggest traitors in NXT history. Johnny then challenges Trick and Melo to an intergenerational tag team match at NXT Homecoming. The four men remain face-to-face in the center of the ring until the end of the segment.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament: Faby Apache vs. Lainer Reid
– Reid lands a “Knee Strike” on Apache, followed by a pinfall.
Backstage, Sol Ruca and Zaria are talking. Zaria jokes by asking where her partner plans to put the third championship belt they might win. She then gets serious, emphasizing that they need to win tonight so she can capture her first title on the brand. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger arrive, exchange good-luck wishes with the two, and head to the ring.
Next, a promotional video of Blake Monroe airs. Sitting in a bathtub, she says her story with Jordynne Grace is far from over. After what happened last week, she admits she feels dirty, since Grace made her bleed and awakened something that had been hidden for a long time. Monroe declares that she wasn’t humiliated, but awakened, and now she’s ready to face her own demon as she plots revenge against Grace.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin w/ Saquon Shugars and Cutler James) (c) vs. Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger)
– After interference from Joe Hendry and the rest of DarkState, Lennox pins Walker.
A promotional video announces the upcoming Flag Match. On social media, NXT Anonymous shares a recording of Ethan Page talking with Myles Borne. Lexis King shows up and taunts Myles, saying he doesn’t follow Charlie Dempsey’s advice. Moments later, Borne appears with a steel chair, cuts the locker room lights, and attacks Lexis. Before leaving, he shouts that he’s not finished yet.
Tavion raises the flag before facing the Canadian. Heights takes it away and heads toward the rival, while covering Ethan with the United States flag. Suddenly, a song familiar to NXT fans plays, and Tyler Breeze makes his entrance. He approaches Tavion and snaps a selfie, bringing the segment to an end.
Next, the second part of Lola Vice’s promotional video airs. She introduces her father, the owner of a karate school, and recalls her famous dance moves, explaining that they are part of her personality. Lola vows to capture the NXT Women’s Championship at No Mercy, taking place near where she grew up.
Backstage, Fatal Influence mocks Lola. Jacy Jayne remarks that she hopes Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx win the Women’s Tag Team Championship, so that the entire group can hold titles.
Finally, a promotional video for NXT Homecoming is shown, highlighting the return of past stars and teasing other surprises yet to be revealed.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – #1 Contender’s Match: ZaRuca (NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca & Zaria) vs. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley)
– Dame and Paxley hit a “Sit-Out Powerbomb” on Henley, followed by a pinfall.
Jacy Jayne scolds her partners in the middle of the ring, reminding them that this is her division and that they embarrassed her. Two cars arrive at the arena, but Jacy keeps talking, declaring that Fatal Influence won’t be at Homecoming because of her partners. She stares at the fans and says she doesn’t need anyone but herself.
Stephanie Vaquer makes her way to the arena. She acknowledges Jacy’s reign but reminds everyone that she once carried two titles from the brand all on her own, and now she’s ready to claim the Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza. Jacy fires back that Fatal Influence is still three against one, and Vaquer responds by asking, “What time is it?”
Tiffany Stratton appears, recalling that she too was once NXT Women’s Champion, doubting Jacy’s claim of being the greatest of all time. Jayne mocks both as “former stars,” which leads Tiffany to taunt her about how Rhea Ripley might react to that.
Rhea’s music hits, and she joins Stephanie and Tiffany. She declares that Jacy isn’t the greatest champion and proposes a match at Homecoming: three versus three. Jayne tries to maintain control, but the trio storms the ring and clears out Fatal Influence. Rhea’s theme echoes through the arena as Jacy, Fallon, and Jazmyn retreat, begging off, and the show closes.
End of show.
