Two rising talents from NXT, Karmen Petrovic and Lainey Reid, were present backstage during the WWE RAW taping on Monday, July 28th, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The duo was on hand to compete in a match for WWE Main Event, which is taped prior to the live RAW broadcast.
Petrovic and Reid teamed up to face the newly formed duo of Natalya and Maxxine Dupri, who have become known as the “Dungeon Dolls.” This practice is a standard for WWE, utilizing the Main Event tapings to give NXT Superstars valuable experience in front of a main roster audience.

The Competitors
Karmen Petrovic has been with WWE since late 2022 and became a fixture on NXT television following her debut in July 2023. Lainey Reid is a more recent signee, having joined the company in mid-2023. She made her NXT television debut just a few weeks ago after a period of development that included appearances on NXT Level Up and at live events.
In addition to the women’s tag team contest, another bout was filmed for the upcoming episode of WWE Main Event. The match featured Julius Creed of the “American Made” stable taking on Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa in singles competition.
