WWE referee Jessika Carr has responded to the new on-screen alliance between Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch that was formed at Clash in Paris. Following the conclusion of the main event, Carr posted a message on X, stating, “We’re in trouble ya’ll.”
Her comment came after Lynch directly interfered to help her husband, Seth Rollins, retain the World Heavyweight Championship. During the final moments of the Fatal Four-Way match, CM Punk had Rollins set up for the Go to Sleep. A masked individual then entered the ring and hit Punk with a low blow. This allowed Rollins to recover and execute a Curb Stomp on Punk, who landed on a steel chair, for the victory. The person unmasked to reveal herself as Lynch, and the show ended with the married couple celebrating in the ring.
Lynch’s involvement served as a “plan B” for Rollins, whose faction, The Vision, was without its other members. Earlier in the night, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker were banned from the arena by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. The decision was made after the two attacked Roman Reigns following his victory over Reed in the opening match, an assault that resulted in Reigns being carried out on a stretcher.
The alliance was met with a mix of reactions from WWE officials. In the post-show press conference, Chief Content Officer Triple H credited Rollins for his foresight, saying he “always got an ace up his sleeve. And what better ace than his legendary wife.”
The successful main event interference capped off a strong night for Lynch, who had earlier retained her Women’s Intercontinental Championship by defeating Nikki Bella. Following the show, Lynch confirmed her new role by posting a photo with Rollins online with the caption, “We run this business. #TheVision.” The development has also led to on-air speculation by commentators Big E and Jackie Redmond about the possibility of CM Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, returning for a potential mixed tag team match against the new duo.
