Shinsuke Nakamura will return to action at WWE’s Supershow in Tokyo, Japan, on October 17 and 18, 2025. The events at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall mark his first matches since the King of the Ring tournament in June, after which he was absent from television.
On October 17, Nakamura will team with Jey Uso against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. The next night, he will join Uso and CM Punk in a six-man tag against Seth Rollins, Breakker, and Reed.
The announcement follows his recent return to SmackDown. Nakamura appeared backstage on the September 26 episode, watching United States Champion Sami Zayn. It was his second appearance since reemerging on September 13.
His focus on Zayn is notable. The two share a past as partners, and Nakamura himself has history with the United States Championship. He captured the title from LA Knight at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 and held it for 97 days. His reign ended when Knight regained the belt before WrestleMania 41, with criticism over its lack of defenses.
The Tokyo tour features other major bouts. On October 17, Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk, while Giulia defends the Women’s U.S. Championship in a triple threat against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. The October 18 card includes Giulia vs. Kairi Sane, with Asuka in Sane’s corner, and a women’s tag bout featuring Ripley and SKY against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
