Following a chaotic end to her title match on WWE RAW, reports suggest Bayley is slated for a Triple Threat championship match at Evolution.

WWE Planning Historic Triple Threat Match for Evolution 2

Recent reports indicate that a high-stakes championship encounter is expected for Bayley at WWE’s upcoming all-women’s premium live event, Evolution, on July 13. Speculation points toward a Triple Threat match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, pitting Bayley against current champion Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria.

The forecast for this three-way collision follows the chaotic conclusion of the championship match between Bayley and Lynch on the June 23 episode of WWE RAW. In what was Bayley’s first opportunity at the title, the match ended in a disqualification after an interference from Valkyria. Her frustration with both competitors boiled over, and her actions ultimately cost Bayley the championship, leading to a post-match brawl that involved all three women.

This incident is the latest chapter in a rivalry that ignited when Lynch made her return after nearly a year, revealing herself as the mystery assailant who attacked Bayley before WrestleMania 41. The storyline assault removed Bayley from a scheduled WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, with Lynch taking her place to win the titles alongside Valkyria. After returning, Bayley immediately set her sights on Lynch, who had since become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

During a media appearance on June 23, Lynch herself identified Bayley as a potential challenger for her at Evolution. The event’s return has been a significant cause for Bayley, who advocated for it months before its official announcement. In a February 2025 interview, Bayley expressed that she was “dying for an Evolution 2,” believing the division’s growth and the addition of new titles made it the “perfect time.”

As the storyline with Lynch and Valkyria intensifies, Bayley also took to social media to tease a different kind of encounter for the Atlanta event. She posted a picture with Attitude Era icon Ivory, a three-time WWE Women’s Champion, with the caption “Evolution 2,” hinting at a potential match with the WWE Hall of Famer who participated in the first Evolution event in 2018.
