With three days remaining until the Royal Rumble, WWE has already departed with its production team and Superstars to Saudi Arabia, more specifically to Riyadh.
This year’s event, despite facing heavy criticism due to the lack of announcements so far, is also considered highly promising. WWE plans to deliver a major production at the Kingdom Arena, aiming to create something similar to what fans would expect from a WrestleMania-level spectacle.
In a recent interview given to ESPN’s Get Up, it was promised that there will be major surprises this Saturday.

“The Royal Rumble is one of those incredible events to watch because every two minutes, a new participant enters the match. So, as the match unfolds over its approximately one-hour duration, you are constantly surprised by who will be next and by the strategy that will be used when that person appears.
This year will be no different. There are many surprises in store. In addition, this will be one of the most star-studded Royal Rumbles I can remember.”
So far, in addition to the two Royal Rumble Matches (men’s and women’s), the following bouts have been announced: the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn, and the Career-Threatening Match between AJ Styles and Gunther.
