WWE Provides Health Update on Referee Knocked Out by John Cena at Night Of Champions

Veteran WWE referee Charles Robinson confirmed he is okay after a dramatic incident involving John Cena during the Undisputed WWE Championship match at Night of Champions on June 28. The dramatic moment occurred when Seth Rollins attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract during the main event between Cena and CM Punk.

As Rollins called for an official, Robinson sprinted down the ramp toward the ring. Before he could make the match official, Cena blindsided him with a tackle, neutralizing the referee and preventing the cash-in. The collision left Robinson incapacitated on the floor, adding another layer of chaos to the title bout in Riyadh.

After the event, Robinson broke his silence on the matter via X. In a concise and humorous response to a WWE post about the event, the official, known as “Little Naitch,” simply stated his condition.

I am alive.

The main event itself was the first singles match between Cena and Punk in over twelve years and saw Cena retain his championship. The contest concluded after interference from Rollins’ allies, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, prompted Penta and Sami Zayn to even the odds. Amid the chaos, Rollins hit Punk with a Curb Stomp, but Cena prevented the official cash-in by throwing Rollins out of the ring before pinning Punk for the victory.
