The broadcast team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett introduces the show from ringside. Cole mentions that Pat McAfee is at the college football national championship game.

Cole shakes hands with Jey Uso and returns to the commentary table, stating he is out of breath. Barrett jokes about the time it will take Cole to recover. Cole remarks on having fun on RAW and comments on the entrances seen on SmackDown.
In the ring, Jey Uso says he will win the main event at Saturday Night’s Main Event. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther enters and joins Jey Uso in the ring. Jey steps up to the champion, promising to take the World Championship from him this Saturday. Gunther smirks, calling Jey a funny guy. The Austrian powerhouse admits he’s been looking forward to this match at Saturday’s special event—until he saw Jey walking down the ramp acting like WWE’s mascot. Gunther reminds Jey that he never keeps his promises. Sure, the gullible fans might believe him, but Gunther doesn’t. He questions when Jey will rush off to help his family or his friends this time. Gunther vows that on Saturday, he’ll expose Jey as nothing more than a passing trend.
Jey fires back, acknowledging that everything Gunther said might be true. He might be a mascot, but the fans are his team, and they’ll be right there with him on Saturday when he takes the title. Jey says he respects Gunther, but after Saturday Night’s Main Event, the champion will respect him too. Jey reminds Gunther that only one of them has headlined WrestleMania—and it wasn’t the Austrian. Furious, Gunther lunges for Jey, but Jey dodges the attack, sparking a brawl that ends with Gunther on the outside of the ring. Jey picks up the World Championship, holding it for a moment before handing it back to its owner as Gunther retreats backstage.
Backstage, JBL runs into The New Day. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston try to butter up the WWE Hall of Famer, who’s on commentary tonight, hoping he’ll convince the fans that what they did to Big E wasn’t so bad. JBL isn’t having it, reminding them that Big E was the heart and soul of The New Day, and now they’ve got to deal with the consequences of their actions. Woods and Kingston storm off, annoyed by JBL’s response. “Can I keep the two bucks?” JBL quips, pulling the bills out of his pocket.
Cathy Kelley catches up with Bayley backstage. “The Role Model” talks about being drafted to the red brand and announces her entry into the 2025 Royal Rumble. The interview is interrupted by Nia Jax, who promises to win this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble.
Singles Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston (c/Xavier Woods)
– Rey won the match with a package.
Xavier ambushes Rey on the entrance ramp. Kofi joins his partner to continue the attack in the center of the ring. But wait—LWO storms the scene, forcing The New Day to retreat! Suddenly, Woods pulls Joaquin Wilde out of the ring and sends him crashing into one of the ring posts. Cruz Del Toro rushes in to help his teammate. Kofi and Xavier retreat up the ramp, clearly satisfied with their assault.
We get a highlight reel recapping Penta’s debut last week.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews American Made. Chad Gable talks about his recent issues with WWE’s masked wrestlers, stating that Dominik Mysterio will have his back in dealing with them. Ivy Nile confidently predicts that Gable will capture the Intercontinental Championship. Meanwhile, Julius Creed takes a moment to praise their faction’s strength and unity.
Jackie Redmond catches up with Karrion Kross and Scarlett in a skybox overlooking the arena. Kross reflects on The Wyatt Sicks losing their rivalry with The Final Testament and leaving for SmackDown as losers. Looking ahead to his future on Raw, Kross drops big names like Seth Rollins and CM Punk as potential opponents. As for Sami Zayn, he warns the WWE Universe not to believe a single word from the Canadian Superstar.
Sami Zayn’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring. Sami Zayn takes the mic and announces his entry into the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He shares his childhood dream of becoming a WWE Superstar and notes the key difference between himself and his opponents in the Rumble—he’s yet to win a World Championship. While Sami acknowledges his incredible career, crediting the fans for much of his success, he admits that even though he doesn’t need a World Title, he wants it.
Suddenly, Kevin Owens interrupts.
Owens makes his way to the ring, carrying his Winged Eagle Championship. Sami acknowledges Kevin’s arrival, saying he always knew this moment would come. Kevin admits he was upset when Sami sided with Roman Reigns in the past, but eventually, he realized they’ve both had their own journeys. Just as Sami forgave him for his past actions, Kevin says he forgave Roman too—because that’s who Sami is, a good guy. With that said, Kevin calls Sami his best friend and says he fully deserves to win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania for the World Championship.
Kevin reminds Sami of the magic they created when they won the Tag Team Championships in the main event of WrestleMania. Now, they have the chance to face each other for the World Title—if Owens can retain his championship at Royal Rumble. Kevin confidently declares that they’ll both shine in the Rumble, having each other’s backs. “We’re like brothers. I know that if I need you, you’ll be there,” Kevin says before leaving the ring. Sami watches in silence as the segment ends.
Cathy Kelley interviews Sheamus. Sheamus addresses those who claim he’s had a perfect WWE career, admitting there’s one thing missing—the Intercontinental Championship. A title he’s chased since childhood but has always slipped through his fingers. Suddenly, Bron Breakker interrupts. Bron flaunts the title, smirking as he tells Sheamus this is as close as he’ll ever get to it. Breakker warns Sheamus not to show up for their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event unless he wants a guaranteed loss. Sheamus responds with a fierce shove, but Bron walks off, smiling confidently.
Jackie Redmond speaks with Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser reflects on his battle with Sheamus last week, calling it another war in their storied rivalry. While he laments the loss, Ludwig remains undeterred, declaring that he’ll eventually capture a championship. The German Superstar dismisses the idea that anyone else impresses him—not Sami Zayn, not Bron Breakker, and certainly not Penta.
Roxanne Perez is spotted in the front row, ready to watch the next match unfold.
Singles Match: Bayley vs. Nia Jax
– Jax won with an Annihilator.
After the match, Rhea Ripley, who was ambushed by Nia Jax backstage earlier in the night, storms to the ring, igniting a wild brawl. Several officials rush out to separate them, but the chaos spills outside the ring. Ripley leaps off the commentary table, hitting a stunning springboard move onto Jax and the officials below. The segment ends with Jax being escorted backstage by officials, while Ripley remains uncontrollable at ringside.
We then see a recap from last week, where Damian Priest defeated Finn Balor in an intense Street Fight Match.
Backstage, The Judgment Day is gathered—minus Balor—discussing recent events. JD McDonagh vows to handle Priest, while Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan appear to be making amends after their recent disagreements.
Next, a video highlights Lyra Valkyria, who made history last week by becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
Up next: Penta in action.
Backstage, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins cross paths. Zayn thanks Rollins for his words last week, saying they opened his eyes. Rollins says he’s happy to see this new side of Sami. Zayn wishes Rollins good luck for his match later tonight and walks off. In the background, Karrion Kross is seen watching the exchange intently.

Tag Team Match: Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Dakota Kai) vs. Pure Fuse Collection (Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark w/ Sonya Deville)

A video package recapping the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, who are set to face off in a WrestleMania 40 rematch, is shown.
Singles Match: Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre
– Rollins secures a victory over McIntyre with a quick “Roll-Up.”
A visibly frustrated McIntyre attacks Rollins after the match, landing a devastating “Claymore Kick.” As he prepares to continue the assault, Sami Zayn interrupts, striking McIntyre outside the ring. However, McIntyre quickly recovers, tossing Zayn into the barricade.
McIntyre re-enters the ring and corners Rollins, applying pressure. Zayn returns and attempts a “Helluva Kick” on McIntyre, but the Scotsman dodges, causing Zayn’s kick to inadvertently hit Rollins squarely.
McIntyre exits the ring with a smirk, leaving the chaos behind. The show ends with Zayn trying to explain himself to Rollins, who is still recovering from the accidental attack.

The fans greet the new United States Champion by chanting his name. “The Megastar” grabs a microphone to address the audience, who respond with chants of “Olé, Olé, Olé.” “YEAH,” exclaims LA Knight before starting his promo. LA Knight reminds everyone that they are making history with the first SmackDown show in Barcelona. “Olé, Olé, Olé,” the fans chant again. LA Knight claims that, despite being the United States Champion, he feels he has world championship-level talent. “You deserve it!” chant the fans. LA Knight recalls that last week he reclaimed the gold to bring it back to where it belongs. Jimmy Uso interrupts the scene.
The Samoan heads to the ring, not to congratulate the champion, but to confess that he feels desperate for not having found a path to WrestleMania. That’s why he directly challenges LA Knight for the title.
Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga appear on the scene. Solo states that there is only one man who deserves a shot at the gold, and that’s Jacob Fatu. Sikoa asks Jimmy to do him a favor and step aside before describing him as the biggest failure of the Samoan family. Jimmy mocks Sikoa, reminding him that he lost the Ula Fala. Furious, Sikoa orders his men to launch an assault.
Braun Strowman appears on the scene to join LA Knight and Jimmy Uso! The three of them take down the heels, who end up ringside. Nick Aldis appears on the entrance ramp to schedule a tag team match right here and now.

We see a video recap of what happened last week, with the reveal of Naomi as Jade Cargill’s attacker and the breakdown of the relationship between “The Glow” and Bianca Belair.
In an interview with Cathy Kelley in an empty arena, Jade Cargill says she feels good and ready for action. Jade is not surprised by what happened with Naomi, pointing out that Naomi was willing to do anything to climb the ranks. Jade recalls being hit from behind and thrown onto a car. After that, she saw Naomi running away. At the time, it hurt that her friend betrayed her, but she knew she had to… Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez interrupt the interview. Jade assures them that if she had been in the title match two weeks ago, the Tag Team Championships wouldn’t be around their waists. Cargill challenges Liv to a match next week. Morgan accepts, as long as Jade isn’t thrown onto a car again in the coming days.
B-Fab delivers a backstage promo as she heads to the ring. B-Fab sends a direct message to Charlotte Flair, reminding her that her goal is to create her own legacy in WWE. And if she has to start by defeating “The Queen,” so be it.
Singles Match: Charlotte Flar vs. B-Fab
– Flar lands a “Figure-Eight” on B-Fab, making him tap-out.
Charlotte refuses to release B-Fab, prompting Tiffany Stratton to storm into the ring. The two women start brawling. A crowd of officials and security personnel rush to the ring to stop them. Flair drags Tiffany out of the ring to continue the fight. The officials intervene again. Stratton escapes them and launches herself at Charlotte. Flair climbs onto the commentary table to dive onto Tiffany. Charlotte is escorted up the entrance ramp, but Stratton leaps onto all of them with a Swanton Bomb! Now it’s Stratton who is escorted backstage while Charlotte is held back at ringside.
Drew McIntyre stars in a video. The Scot delivers a promo where he recalls all the traps he’s fallen into and how Damian Priest has benefited from them. Even after losing the World Championship, Priest has done nothing but hinder him, preventing him from securing a ticket to WrestleMania 41. “You wanted my attention? Well, you’ve got it,” says Drew before promising the Puerto Rican that he will never take another opportunity from him again. This is no longer about titles; it’s about ending Damian once and for all.
The Miz makes his entrance into the ring. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Stratton reignite their brawl at the top of the stands. Security can barely contain them. Tiffany climbs to the top of the entrance and dives with a Swanton Bomb. Stratton finally retreats backstage while a furious Flair watches her from the ground.
The Miz takes the mic to welcome us to “Miz TV.” Mizanin introduces tonight’s guest, the man who was attacked by two rappers (Travis Scott and John Cena) at Elimination Chamber, the man who rejected The Rock’s offer, the man who will not emerge victorious at WrestleMania: Cody Rhodes.
“The American Nightmare” is greeted by the crowd, who sing along to his entrance theme. Rhodes greets the front-row fans before stepping into the ring. The Miz interrupts the entrance, stating that he doesn’t have time to listen to Cody’s song. Furious, Cody hits The Miz with a Cross Rhodes. Cody grabs the mic to make it clear that he doesn’t want to talk to anyone except John Cena. Rhodes reminds everyone that he will be on Raw next Monday, where he challenges the 16-time world champion to meet him. Rhodes’ theme music plays again to bring the segment to a close.
Earlier, Nick Aldis was speaking with Shinsuke Nakamura backstage. The Japanese star wanted a rematch for the United States Championship. Damian Priest appeared on the scene to ask the General Manager where Drew McIntyre was. Aldis replied that he didn’t know. Drew obeys but quickly returns when he sees Priest getting back into the ring. McIntyre executes a Claymore on Damian. Drew yells at the Puerto Rican, promising to make his life a living hell. McIntyre kicks Damian’s head hard before heading backstage.

Ciampa and Gargano leave to end the segment.

A mysterious “4” appears in a teaser.
Gunther appears on the scene. Microphone in hand, “The Ring General” states that he should be in Barcelona as the best European wrestler in the world. Unfortunately, he would have preferred to do it in Madrid. Gunther scolds the fans for supporting Jey Uso, assuring them that once the bell rings, he will finish him off. Heyman assures everyone that today is not CM Punk’s day, and certainly not “Seth Rollins’” day. The fans chant Rollins’ theme song. Paul confesses that he hates that song. Paul announces that Reigns will be in Bologna, Italy, next week. The crowd boos. Paul advises them to buy a plane ticket to Italy and personally express their respect for “The Tribal Chief.” Paul throws the microphone to end his promo.
Legado del Fantasma approaches The Street Profits to wish them luck in tonight’s title match. Santos Escobar informs them that if they manage to win the tag team championships, they will have his full attention. The Mexicans leave. Angelo and Montez head to the ring.
Gunther approaches Jimmy Uso backstage. The Austrian believes that Jimmy is more mature than his brother Jey, so he suggests that Jimmy talk to him and convince him to make the best decision, which is to back down from his idea of facing him at WrestleMania. Jimmy insists that his brother will end him at the grand event. Gunther laments hearing that, stating that he was wrong to think Jimmy was a mature man.

Paul tells the audience that they forget that when they hear his name, they should associate him with legends like The Rock and John Cena—people who broke barriers. Paul criticizes Cody Rhodes for being an idiot for not accepting The Rock’s offer, while Cena took twenty years to realize that “good guys” always finish last. Paul claims that if The Rock wants it, his soul is available.
Paul calls himself a celebrity, just like Andrew Schulz, who is sitting in the audience. Paul grabs a microphone for Schulz and asks him what he came to Madison Square Garden to see tonight. Rhodes notes that his WrestleMania 41 opponent, John Cena, isn’t present tonight. Rhodes jokes that Cena probably told his buddies, like Travis Scott and The Rock, that even though he’s not here today, he’ll be in Brussels next week.
Rhodes recalls when Cena won the United States Championship at WrestleMania XX, right here in this very arena. Rhodes says Cena isn’t here tonight because maybe it’s easier to hit someone with a low blow. Rhodes adds that he’s sure Cena is watching RAW right now. Rhodes expresses frustration over Cena’s social media posts claiming he has the discipline to do what needs to be done, even when he doesn’t want to.
Rhodes declares that no one—not even Cena or The Rock—can define what’s best for business. Rhodes points out that there are 17,000 people in attendance tonight, just as Cena wants his seventeenth title—but it won’t happen, because Cena will soon discover that Rhodes is the captain now. Rhodes thanks the crowd again and ends the segment.
Next up, Bayley and Raquel Rodriguez will face off in a #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
In the crowd, Lyra Valkyria is interviewed and talks about Ivy Nile, saying she’s truly an incredible wrestler who brought her an extremely high level of competition. Valkyria says she’s excited for the match between Bayley and Rodriguez because the winner will become her next opponent.

We now see a video of Bron Breakker talking about defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Finn Bálor next week, promising to destroy him.
In the ring, Michael Cole introduces the new WWE Women’s World Champion, IYO SKY. Amidst loud cheers, the champion makes her way to the ring. Cole congratulates SKY on last week’s match, stating that she’s heading to WrestleMania. Cole asks how she’s feeling. SKY, to chants of “you deserve it,” says it’s a dream come true to stand in Madison Square Garden as a WWE champion. SKY says she proved that what seems impossible can become reality, shouting that she’s going to WrestleMania 41. Cole then invites her opponent at the Showcase of Immortals, Bianca Belair, to join them.
Upon arriving in the ring, Belair congratulates SKY on her victory. Belair says that while they’ve never been close friends, she’s happy to face her at WrestleMania. Cole mentions that Belair may have indirectly helped SKY become champion last week, given the altercation between Belair and Rhea Ripley at ringside. Belair explains that she was only there to watch the match and wait for her WrestleMania opponent, until Ripley laid hands on her—and that’s something she won’t tolerate. Ripley’s music hits.
Ripley storms out, furious, and demands to know why Belair was there last week. Belair says she already explained herself. Ripley calls it an excuse, accusing Belair of trying to help SKY win because she’s afraid to face her at WrestleMania. Ripley adds that this is exactly why Naomi betrayed Belair. Belair and Ripley begin arguing heatedly. SKY tries to step in to calm the situation but gets shoved by both women. SKY becomes enraged and slaps both Belair and Ripley across the face, leaving them stunned. SKY storms out of the ring, while Belair and Ripley recover in shock.
Next up is the main event. Seth Rollins and CM Punk will face off inside the Steel Cage.
Steel Cage Match: Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
– Rollins wins after being pulled out of the cage by Roman Reigns.
Reigns immediately hits a Superman Punch on Rollins, followed by a Spear. Clearly seeking revenge for the events of the Royal Rumble, Reigns then applies a Stomp on Rollins. Several officials, including Adam Pearce, rush to the scene to try and stop Reigns.
Reigns looks toward the ring and sees Paul Heyman helping CM Punk to his feet. Reigns enters the cage and delivers a Superman Punch, followed by a Spear on Punk, leaving Heyman in shock. The show ends with Reigns celebrating in the ring.
End of show.
