WWE RAW 02/24 Results - Last face to face, Two Title Matches, Gunther, and More

We see the arrival of some of tonight’s main players: Naomi, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Gunther (who encounters the Alpha Academy recording a video for social media), IYO SKY, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, and Cody Rhodes.

Logan Paul is the one responsible for opening tonight’s show. The fans greet him, mostly with boos. With a microphone in hand, Logan addresses the crowd in his home state. He mocks Cincinnati, saying he almost asked the pilot of his private jet not to land in the city. Logan reminds everyone that the last time he was in the red brand’s ring, he defeated Rey Mysterio. Next weekend, he will beat three “nobodies” and John Cena to secure his spot at WrestleMania, where he will defeat Cody Rhodes to become the biggest star in WWE. CM Punk interrupts the segment.

The fans welcome “The Best in the World” with a huge ovation. Punk enters the ring and stares down Logan. “CM Punk, CM Punk!” chant the fans. Logan scolds the audience before turning his attention to CM Punk, accusing him of being jealous. Logan claims he has succeeded at everything he’s ever done in life, while Punk has only known failure.

Punk makes it clear that he has nothing against Logan, as he barely knows him. He says he’s seen plenty like Logan—people who desperately seek attention. Logan acknowledges that Punk’s return to WWE was one of the greatest comebacks of all time, but Punk couldn’t handle the pressure. That’s why WWE needs him, Logan. And now that he’s a full-time star, it’s only a matter of time before the fans start chanting his name. The crowd responds by chanting “CM Punk.”

Punk acknowledges that some men, like himself, are legends. Men who thrive under pressure and make history. And that’s something Logan will never achieve—a name the fans won’t remember over time. Punk promises Paul that he will win the Elimination Chamber to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, where he will capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. He says that Rhodes will come to learn what Logan will discover next Saturday: “I am the devil in this industry, and you are nobody.” Paul stares Punk down before slapping him across the face. Logan retreats from the ring, satisfied with his attack. Punk warns him to run while he can, because next Saturday, he’ll be locked inside the Elimination Chamber with him. And then, he’ll find out why the fans chant his name.

Ludwig Kaiser makes his entrance. The German grabs a microphone and demands the attention of the fans. Kaiser reminds everyone how he attacked Penta last week to reclaim the Mexican star’s attention—the same attention he has deserved for so long. Kaiser promises that, starting tonight (and regardless of what Pete Dunne tries to do), the focus will remain on him because this will be his year.

Triple Threat Match: Penta vs. Ludwig Kaiser vs. Pete Dunne
– Kaiser pins Dunne to win the match.

Jackie Redmond interviews Rhea Ripley in one of the audience boxes.

“Mami” states that next week she’ll be keeping an eye on the Elimination Chamber, but without losing focus on her title defense against IYO SKY, someone she has never defeated. However, these past five years have changed a lot of things. Now, she dominates the women’s division and has already beaten big names like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Next week, SKY’s name will be added to that list. The Japanese star appears to make it clear that, in seven days, she will defeat Ripley again to capture the title and head straight to WrestleMania.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) make their entrance. “New Day Sucks!” chant the fans. Woods asks them to calm down, as they’re here to share some good news. Woods jokes, saying Cincinnati chili is the best dog food he’s ever tasted. The fans boo loudly. Kingston says they’re tired of trying to explain their actions and that the audience won’t let them speak. Now, they don’t want to explain anymore. The fans boo again. Kingston declares that kicking Big E out of the group was the best decision they ever made. Woods adds that it’s the same decision the LWO should’ve made regarding Rey Mysterio. Kingston believes the fans should be grateful to have them there tonight. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde rush to the ring for their match.

Tag Team Match: LWO (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro) vs. New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)
– Woods and Kingston hit a “Midnight Hour” on Toro, followed by the pinfall.

Woods and Kingston continue attacking Cruz. Dragon Lee appears to take the fight to the former tag team champions. However, the heels use their numerical advantage to regain control. Kingston and Woods deliver a double “Powerbomb” on Lee.

Finn Bálor scolds Dominik Mysterio in the Judgment Day club for his recent failures. Bálor once again refuses to add new members to the faction and assures everyone that he will solve the group’s problems on his own. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez appear. Morgan promises she will capture the Women’s World Championship. Furthermore, she states she isn’t worried about Naomi and Bianca Belair because she and Rodriguez weren’t responsible for the attack on Jade Cargill. Morgan advises Bálor to deal with the man who humiliated him last week. The Irishman leaves, followed by Mysterio.

Cathy Kelley interviews AJ Styles backstage. “The Phenomenal One” acknowledges that he has had a target on his back since returning, and that’s a good thing because it means he’s someone who gets things done right. Logan Paul interrupts the interview. Styles recalls their interaction at the Royal Rumble and asks if “The Maverick” will manage to eliminate anyone else over the top rope. Logan says he’ll be too busy competing in the Elimination Chamber and headlining WrestleMania. He mocks Styles, saying it’s admirable that the former world champion hasn’t given up yet.

Gunther enters the ring, ready to compete. However, before the match begins, he has something to say. The Austrian admits he wasn’t thrilled about facing Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41, but now he sees things differently. He plans to put an end to the nonsense of the “YEET” once and for all. Earlier today, he spoke with Adam Pearce to arrange a match for tonight. And his opponent will be: Akira Tozawa. The Japanese star appears on the scene, looking concerned, accompanied by Maxxine Dupri and Otis.

Singles Match: World Heavyweight Champion Gunther vs. Akira Tozawa w/ Alpha Academy (Otis and Maxxine Dupri)
– Gunther applies a “Sleeper Hold” on Tozawa, making him pass out.

Gunther prepares to continue attacking Tozawa, which prompts Otis to enter the ring. Gunther escapes to the outside. Otis and Dupri approach Tozawa. Gunther returns and applies a “Sleeper Hold” on Otis. Jey Uso emerges in the ring, forcing Gunther to retreat up the entrance ramp.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Dakota Kai
– Valkyria hits a “Nightwing” on Kai, followed by the pinfall.

Valkyria and Kai hug. Kai heads backstage while Valkyria celebrates in the ring. Ivy Nile appears on the entrance ramp to attack the New Zealander before charging toward the ring. Nile takes down the champion in the corner and unleashes a flurry of strikes. She hits her finishing move on the Irish star and grabs the title. Nile raises the championship high, ending the segment.

Jackie Redmond interviews Sami Zayn backstage. The Canadian reveals he went to Kevin Owens’ house, but no one was there. However, he saw Owens’ mother and had a good conversation with her. Upon returning home, he felt ashamed of what he had done. Zayn confesses he doesn’t recognize himself anymore. He doesn’t even recognize Owens. Zayn believes neither of them knows what they’re truly capable of right now. He admits his neck still isn’t healed, but it doesn’t matter. Zayn promises he will go to war against Owens. He directly addresses his former friend: “I know it won’t be good for me. It won’t be for you either. I hope you’re ready,” says the Canadian, concluding the interview.

Naomi and Bianca Belair cut a promo backstage to send a message to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The Women’s Tag Team Champions vow they will retain their titles tonight and beat their rivals senseless. And they’ll do it again at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Singles Match: WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker vs. Dominik Mysterio w/ Carlito
– Breakker wins via DQ after being attacked with a steel chair.

After the referee’s decision, Breakker shakes off Mysterio and hits a “Spear” on Carlito. Finn Bálor attempts to attack Breakker with a chair but fails and is forced to leave the ring.

The New Day kicks Jackie Redmond out during an interview and addresses the fans. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods boast about their attack on Rey Mysterio and their victory over the LWO. Kingston announces that next week they’ll be vacationing in Costa Rica.

Backstage, American Made is interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Ivy Nile states that the Creed Brothers will fight for the World Tag Team Championship again, and she will continue attacking Lyra Valkyria until she gets a shot at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The War Raiders interrupt and attack Julius and Brutus Creed.

Cody Rhodes enters to a huge ovation from the fans. He questions what it means to “ask for your soul” and believes he knows what The Rock wants. Rhodes explains that the decision he must make at Elimination Chamber affects not only him but also his family, students, and the memory of his father. He understands that The Rock is offering him the chance to achieve everything without effort, unlike the path he and his father followed.

Seth Rollins interrupts the segment and confronts Rhodes. He reminds everyone this is the first time they’ve shared the ring since WrestleMania XL and asks why Rhodes didn’t slap The Rock when he asked for his soul. Rollins recalls the sacrifices they made to win at the last event. Rhodes responds that The Rock asked for his soul, not Rollins’, because Rollins’ soul is already corrupted, referencing his alliance with The Authority, though acknowledging that Rollins was his shield and the MVP of WrestleMania XL.

Rollins says he wants to protect Rhodes, not judge him. He wants to win at Elimination Chamber to face the same Rhodes who pushed him to his limit, to go after the title, not his soul.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez enter the ring. Morgan declares this is a big week for their tour and that they will make history as the first team to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship three times.

Jey Uso visits Akira Tozawa in the trainer’s room and is later confronted by A-Town Down Under. Grayson Waller claims Jey only cares about himself and that Gunther will destroy him at WrestleMania. Jey responds with his signature “YEET” gesture and hits a “Superkick” on Waller before walking away.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair and Naomi (c) vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
– Rodriguez smashes Naomi’s head into the ring post out of the referee’s sight, while Morgan makes the pinfall.

The show ends with Judgment Day celebrating in the ring.
