WWE Releases Former AEW Star Promoted to Main Roster

PWInsider and Fightful report WWE released Blair Davenport on February 7. The 28-year-old performer joined SmackDown from NXT last year, participating in five televised matches on the blue brand.

Davenport experienced an injury setback following her main roster debut. Upon returning to television, she received limited opportunities before her departure.

Prior to her SmackDown tenure, Davenport competed in NXT, where she faced Naomi and established herself in the women’s division. She holds the distinction of being the first AEW-contracted talent to transition to WWE.
