WWE Reportedly Makes Last-Minute Changes to WrestleMania 42 Plans

The Rock announced during SmackDown that WWE will present WrestleMania 42 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on April 11 and 12, 2026.

During a post-show press conference, he provided additional context regarding the announcement timing.

We were going to be part of the Super Bowl and announce that we were coming to New Orleans. We had some setbacks that prevented that. But we’re here now and the improvements made to the Superdome were a major factor in our decision.

New Orleans previously hosted WrestleMania in 2014 and 2018. WrestleMania 30 featured Daniel Bryan capturing the WWE Championship and Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s undefeated streak. WrestleMania 34 saw Brock Lesnar retain the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event, while The Undertaker defeated John Cena in under three minutes.
