WWE Reportedly Planning Major Live Event in India
WWE President Nick Khan confirms India is a primary target for a Premium Live Event in 2026 or 2027, citing Netflix partnership as key factor in expansion plans.

The landscape of global wrestling entertainment continues to evolve, and one major market might finally get the premium showcase it’s been demanding for years. The future of WWE’s international expansion is looking increasingly promising for fans in one of the world’s most passionate wrestling regions.
Nick Khan has provided a significant update on WWE’s plans to bring a major Premium Live Event to India for the first time ever. During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the WWE President confirmed that the company is actively working toward making this long-anticipated event a reality, with a potential timeline already in the works.
That’s the goal, and we’re penciling out 2026 and 2027 now. At the top of that list was India. If it’s important to Netflix, assume it’s important to us.
The relationship with Netflix appears to be accelerating WWE’s global ambitions, with content set to begin streaming on the platform in India starting April 1. While WWE previously held a Superstar Spectacle event in India in 2023, that show wasn’t a full-scale Premium Live Event on par with major attractions like WrestleMania or Royal Rumble. Khan’s comments suggest the company is now planning something far more substantial, though fans will need to exercise patience as the wrestling giant finalizes its strategy with the simple closing statement: “Let’s wait and see.”
