A new report from Bodyslam suggests WWE creative is planning a significant shift for Solo Sikoa’s MFT stable, with the changes reportedly stemming from Sami Zayn’s recent capture of the United States Championship.
Zayn defeated Sikoa for the title on an episode of SmackDown late last month, ending the powerhouse’s two-month reign. The victory came after Zayn hit an Exploder Suplex followed by his Helluva Kick.
In the aftermath of that loss, a frustrated Sikoa cut a promo vowing revenge on Zayn, setting a new focus for his character after emphasizing the sacrifices he made to become champion.
The reported new direction for the MFT faction already seems to be taking shape. On a recent episode of SmackDown, the group’s presence was limited to a segment featuring only Sikoa and Tonga Loa, a trend expected to continue.
According to the report, fans can expect more segments built specifically around Sikoa, cementing his role as the faction’s central focus moving forward.
