With his return anticipated as SummerSlam approaches, a report from WrestleVotes indicates that the “leading” idea for his presentation is a new moniker: ‘OTC1’ or ‘Tribal Chief One’.
This potential change follows the precedent set during his 2024 comeback, where he adopted the nickname ‘The OTC’, for ‘The Original Tribal Chief’. The proposed ‘OTC1’ appears to be a direct continuation of that identity, further cementing his status within the company’s storylines. Reigns has been absent from television since the WWE RAW episode on April 21, but he remains a central figure in the promotional material for SummerSlam, which takes place on August 2 and 3.
According to the report, the new nickname is part of a larger strategy for his return.
