WWE Scrapped Cody Rhodes Segment with Popular Star on Last SmackDown
According to Fightful Select, WWE originally planned a backstage segment featuring Cody Rhodes and R-Truth on March 7 SmackDown but removed it from the final broadcast.

WWE had initially planned a backstage segment between Cody Rhodes and R-Truth on the March 7 episode of SmackDown but ultimately decided not to include it in the final broadcast.
According to Fightful Select, Rhodes was originally listed to appear in a backstage segment with R-Truth on SmackDown’s internal run sheets. The segment did not make it to the aired show.
When Fightful inquired about why the segment was scrapped, they did not receive a definitive answer. However, speculation suggested the segment might have “affected the gravity of Rhodes’ promo” that aired during the show.
Rhodes instead delivered an impassioned promo about his upcoming Undisputed WWE Championship match against John Cena at WrestleMania 41. Sporting a black eye from the attack at Elimination Chamber, Rhodes promised victory against his former idol in Las Vegas.
R-Truth has been vocal about his admiration for Cena throughout his WWE career. Truth was among those who responded to Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber, where Cena aligned with The Rock after attacking Rhodes.
