WWE Scraps Major Plans Involving Pretty Deadly
Former WWE Superstar Carmella reveals she pitched working with Pretty Deadly on their musical storyline before her departure from the company.

Wrestling fans just got an interesting peek behind the curtain. Carmella has spilled the beans on what could have been a fascinating partnership with SmackDown’s flamboyant duo Pretty Deadly and their ongoing musical storyline.
The former WWE superstar revealed she actively reached out to Elton Prince and Kit Wilson to collaborate on their “Pretty Deadly: The Musical” storyline. Together with the head writer, they developed multiple concepts where Carmella would have stepped in after the duo’s musical inevitably bombed.
I pitched to work with Pretty Deadly. I reached out to them first, and they loved the idea. They were all on board. We came up with ideas, pitches, and storylines.
This disclosure comes after months of Pretty Deadly pushing their musical aspirations on WWE programming, including a notable segment where they confronted Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of Hamilton, attempting to secure his backing for their theatrical project in November 2024.
The missed opportunity seems particularly fitting for Carmella, who expressed enthusiasm for character-driven storylines throughout her WWE run.
I love working with characters. R-Truth. James Ellsworth. The more ridiculous, the better. To be part of a WWE musical, that would have been ridiculous, but Carmella would have thrived.
