WWE scraps major plans involving Roman Reigns for 2025
Dave Meltzer reveals WWE has no plans for new title, but maintains Ula Fala Match plans for Netflix RAW.
WWE has discarded plans to create a new title called the Tribal Chief Championship. According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will only compete for the Ula Fala on Netflix’s debut WWE RAW.
Regarding reports about the creation of a new Tribal Chief title, we were informed that this will not happen. However, there will be a contest for the Ula Fala, which makes more sense within the storyline.
This information comes after WrestleVotes indicated that WWE had discussed the idea of introducing a Tribal Chief Championship as part of the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The concept would have been similar to The People’s Championship, presented to The Rock at this year’s WrestleMania.
The match between Reigns and Sikoa is confirmed for January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. With WrestleMania plans still undefined, The Rock might appear at any moment, provided his movie schedule allows.
CM Punk could influence Tribal Combat outcome
The Tribal Combat scenario becomes more complex with CM Punk’s possible involvement.
Despite having his own match against Seth Rollins scheduled for the same show, the five-time WWE Champion could be a decisive factor in the outcome. The historic partnership between CM Punk and Paul Heyman suggests a possible interference in favor of Roman Reigns.
Sources indicate that this intervention could kickstart a new storyline heading into WrestleMania 41.
