WWE: Seth Rollins breaks character, praises longtime rival - "He deserves it"
The Visionary acknowledges his rival’s growth and impact despite their ongoing tensions following RAW’s Netflix premiere.
Seth Rollins has offered praise for Drew McIntyre’s contributions to WWE, despite their contentious history. Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Rollins acknowledged McIntyre’s impressive run following their WrestleMania 40 encounter.
Discussing his rival’s recent performances, Rollins stated:
But Drew [McIntyre] had a really good year [2024] after [WrestleMania 40] that, so I kind of stick with what I said. He does deserve the spotlight
The former Universal Champion elaborated on McIntyre’s abilities:
Say what you will about him being a super troll online, when you get him out there in the ring, whether it’s with a microphone or in a match, he’s one of the best there is
Career Longevity Plans Revealed
During the same interview, Rollins discussed his own future in WWE, citing changes in the company’s schedule as beneficial to his career longevity. At 38, The Visionary sees potential for an extended run:
I am 38; I will be 39 in May. I think I’ve got more than a couple years left in me. The dynamic of the industry has shifted so much. I’m not wrestling 200 times a year anymore. I’m not on the road 300 days a year anymore
Rollins also mentioned balancing his career with family responsibilities, particularly spending time with his daughter. The reduced live event schedule has played a crucial role in helping him maintain this balance while preserving his in-ring career.
