Live results:
The commentary team welcomes everyone from Tampa, Florida. Backstage, Cathy is interviewing Bianca Belair and Naomi. Naomi expresses joy over winning the title after her return, while Belair shows gratitude for her partner’s support. The champion is still seeking answers about Jade Cargill’s disappearance.
Bayley joins the group for the night’s first match, despite Belair’s visible hesitation to accept her presence. The three head to the ring to face Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae. After the babyfaces’ entrance, Nia Jax appears on stage with a microphone. She confronts Belair about the accusations involving Jade, denying any involvement.
Jax mentions that Tiffany couldn’t help win the titles last week, let alone attack Jade. She suggests Belair is trying to deflect suspicion from herself, arguing that Jade has more strength and ability than the champion. In her view, this led Belair to lose control.
The provocation continues with Jax demanding Belair confess to the attack. The champion maintains her composure, showing only slight disbelief at her rival’s lengthy and uninteresting speech.
6-Women Tag Team Match: Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi defeat Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae
– Naomi secures the win with a Bubba Bomb followed by the Gedo Clutch for the pinfall on Candice.
Backstage, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller confront Nick Aldis about last week’s set damage compensation. The general manager dismisses their request and informs Theory he’ll face Braun Strowman later. Aldis sends them away to meet with Sami Zayn, who wants to discuss business before the commercial break.
After commercial break, Sami Zayn continues his discussion with Nick Aldis, requesting a chance to face The Bloodline following their RAW invasion. Carmelo Hayes interrupts with Christmas cards. Sami scolds him for being rude and asks him to wait his turn. Hayes suggests Sami stay away from SmackDown. Sami angrily challenges Hayes to a match, which Aldis approves.
In the ring, Braun Strowman makes his entrance while footage plays of his embarrassing moment from last week.
Singles Match: Braun Strowman vs. Austin Theory (with Grayson Waller)
– Strowman won with a “running powerslam”.
Braun celebrates his victory in the ring after match.
The commentary team announces that RAW will be broadcast on Netflix, while SmackDown will be extended to three hours.
They follow with a recap of Chelsea Green’s United States Championship victory. After the commercial break, Green will hold a special celebration.
Returning from the break, Kevin Owens appears in a pre-recorded video from inside his car. He states that he heard all of Nick’s comments but emphasizes that he still possesses the winged belt and proclaims himself the rightful WWE Champion. Owens proposes a one-on-one discussion with Nick in the ring later tonight.
In the ring, Piper Niven stands on a podium and introduces the United States Champion, Chelsea Green, the first holder of that title. Standing in the middle of the ring, Green declares she has turned the blue brand into her own home. She boasts about her accomplishments and credits the one person who stood by her through it all: herself. Green then taunts Michin, questioning her involvement in the tournament.
Michin interrupts the celebration, holding a microphone in one hand and a kendo stick in the other. She claims she would be the champion if it weren’t for Piper’s interference, and she presents her own ally: a kendo stick. Michin heads to the ring, landing several blows on Piper with the stick before entering the ring. Before she can strike Green, Piper pulls Green out of the ring.
Backstage, DIY meets The Street Profits and Nick Aldis. Nick questions them about the attack on The Street Profits. After they deny having any involvement, Nick reveals he has witnesses: Pretty Deadly. The pair tries to change the subject and accuses Garza of the attack. The Street Profits go off to find the group, prompting a backstage brawl. Nick breaks up the fight and orders them to settle their differences in the ring. The show then cuts to a commercial break.
Tag Team Match: Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (with B-Fab) vs. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) (with Elektra Lopez)
– Ford dives onto Angel. He then teams up with Dawkins to execute the “Doomsday Blockbuster” and secure the victory.
We see a video featuring Andrade, who challenges Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship. He promises that everyone will remember his name after he delivers “The Message.” Next week, that match will take place, along with another showdown between Naomi and Nia Jax for the Women’s Championship. They intend to fill the three-hour show with these contests.
After the break, Sami Zayn faces Carmelo Hayes.
Backstage, Pretty Deadly finds DIY and admits lying about Los Garza to gain favor with the champions. DIY accepts the situation and suggests they can protect each other. They move on, but the Street Profits appear to thank them for handing over Garza.
Pretty Deadly agrees, and the Profits set out to talk with the Motor City Machine Guns, discussing who deserves the next title shot. Apollo Crews approaches and reveals that it was DIY themselves who attacked the Profits. He says he saw everything and warns that a game of manipulation is underway.
In the ring, Sami Zayn appears, followed by Carmelo Hayes. The next match is about to begin.
Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Carmelo Hayes
– Sami prepares for the “Helluva Kick,” but Hayes escapes the ring. Braun appears on the ramp and chases him. Both head backstage.
Meanwhile, the Bloodline attacks Sami from behind and triggers a disqualification. Chaos takes over the ring amidst the confusion. Sami fights back, but Solo delivers the “Samoa Spike” without hesitation. Braun returns, leaves Hayes aside, and goes after Tama Tonga on the ramp. He trades blows with Solo and knocks him down with a “shoulder block.” Jacob Fatu appears and stares down Braun, but then Tama hits Braun with a “chop block,” and the numbers advantage takes effect.
Sami tries to help but ends up outnumbered again. The referees approach, but Fatu lands a “moonsault” on Sami, and Solo follows with another “Spike.” Kevin Owens’s music echoes, and the Bloodline leaves the ring as we go to the next segment.
Kevin Owens and Nick meet in the center of the ring after the break, each holding a microphone. Nick demands the return of the title, while Owens demands an explanation. Owens argues that the belt is his only chance to get a rematch against Cody Rhodes in a match where he can’t be compromised by the referee.
Nick holds firm, declaring there’s no room for negotiation and threatens to fire Owens if he doesn’t hand the title over. At that moment, Cody Rhodes’s music echoes through the arena, and the champion enters with a microphone. Nick asks Cody, upon seeing him, to stay on the entrance ramp.
The “American Nightmare” declares he won’t stand by and watch, challenging Owens’s logic. Rhodes recalls how Owens once criticized him for teaming with Roman Reigns but is now doing the same with other wrestlers. Cody Rhodes explains his motivations, citing his family, the fans, and the entire backstage production team. Addressing Owens, his old friend, Rhodes proposes a stipulation where the referee can’t stop his actions. After a brief conversation with Nick, Cody suggests a Ladder Match with both titles suspended above the ring at the Royal Rumble.
Owens accepts the challenge with a smile and offers a handshake to Rhodes, who refuses. In response, Owens shoves Nick into Cody and stomps on the champion’s head. Owens leaves the arena proclaiming himself the true champion, ending the show.
End of Show!
