WWE Sources Reportedly Refute Rumored ‘Snowman’ Nickname For Tony Khan

A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claiming that WWE’s creative team refers to AEW President Tony Khan as “Snowman” has been directly refuted by a counter-report from Ringside News citing multiple internal company sources.

According to Ringside News, their sources within WWE leadership state that no one uses that moniker for Khan. When asked about AEW-related matters, one source put it bluntly: “WWE is too busy breaking records and putting on good television.”

The initial report from the Observer specifically noted that the nickname was allegedly used in internal discussions within the creative team, which is led by Triple H.

The backstage name-calling controversy emerges as Khan himself is publicly focused on a different kind of competition with WWE: ticket pricing. On a recent media call for All Out, the AEW President stressed his goal of keeping events accessible and affordable for families.

“Hopefully [All Out] speaks to what we’re doing, with trying to maintain ticket pricing for AEW shows for families, because we are a family friendly company, when it comes to trying to price the tickets to get families into the AEW shows,” Khan stated. (h/t Fightful)
