A statement has been released by Edris Enofe announcing his official departure from WWE. The NXT Superstar confirmed his exit and noted that he made the choice after a long period of consideration.
“As of today, I will officially be leaving the WWE. This is a decision that I thought about for a very long time and I’m gonna trust my gut on this,” Enofe stated.
In his announcement, Enofe expressed his gratitude for the four years he spent with the promotion. He specifically thanked the wrestlers, referees, creative team, and medical staff, as well as the coaches who contributed to his development. He also gave thanks to the fans, saying, “I’ll always appreciate you all, and of course the fans who have supported me and stuck by my side through these years. Thank you.”
During his tenure with the brand, Enofe was primarily featured in the tag team division alongside his partner, Malik Blade. His final televised match was broadcast on the July 18th episode of WWE Evolve, and he competed for the last time at an NXT live event in late July.
Enofe’s departure follows recent developments concerning another NXT talent, Jazmyn Nyx, who is also set to leave the company. A report from PWInsider Elite indicated Nyx will depart once her current contract expires after she declined an extension.
Financial terms appear to be central to Nyx’s impending exit, as she personally confirmed on Instagram that her annual salary was under $80,000. Her on-screen character was written off television during the September 23 episode of NXT, where an angle saw her attacked by her Fatal Influence stablemates, Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. Despite the on-screen storyline and reports of her exit, Nyx remains on the company’s official roster page.
