A controversial incident from Elimination Chamber 2025 has reportedly generated significant backstage heat in WWE. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many within the company are upset over rapper Travis Scott’s physical interaction with Cody Rhodes.
The incident occurred during the closing moments of Elimination Chamber when Scott, who accompanied The Rock to the event, punched the Undisputed WWE Champion. Reports indicate this interaction may have resulted in an injury to Rhodes.
Meltzer reports that the spot has drawn criticism from WWE personnel who questioned why Scott was permitted to physically engage with Rhodes in the first place.
Meltzer is now reporting that people in WWE haven’t taken kindly to what went down at Elimination Chamber. Meltzer added that Scott has backstage heat over the spot and many have wondered why he was allowed to throw a punch at the Undisputed WWE Champion.
The altercation took place during the climactic segment of the premium live event that saw John Cena shockingly align with The Rock following his Chamber match victory.
This unexpected physical interaction has added another layer of complexity to the already evolving storyline heading into WrestleMania 41, where Rhodes is set to defend his championship against the now-heel Cena.
WWE has not issued any official statement regarding Scott’s involvement or Rhodes’ reported injury status following the premium live event.
