Xavier Woods Teases Lucha Brothers Reunion on WWE RAW

A potential Lucha Brothers reunion on Raw was teased by Xavier Woods in a video posted to social media today. Ahead of tomorrow’s show in Paris, Woods addressed Penta’s ongoing issues with The New Day and Grayson Waller, pointing out that Penta is alone because his brother, Rey Fenix, is on SmackDown.

The promo comes after Penta has found himself in a one-on-three situation in recent weeks, which led to a loss against Kofi Kingston last week. Woods, who is currently recovering from a neck injury, warned Penta that he, Kingston, and Waller would be looking for him on Raw. He then directly taunted Penta about his lack of allies on the brand.

“…you ain’t been here long enough to make any friends, and you’re little Lucha Bro bro, he’s over on SmackDown, so you’re all by yourself,” Woods stated. “That means we’ll see you tomorrow.”

Woods’ reference to the brand split highlights the separate paths the brothers have taken since joining WWE. The duo was originally expected to debut as a team, but their arrivals were staggered due to contractual obligations with AEW.

Penta left AEW in late 2024 and debuted on Raw in January. However, AEW extended Rey Fenix’s contract to account for time missed due to injury, a move that delayed his departure. Fenix eventually joined WWE in April, debuting on SmackDown just before WrestleMania 41.

Since Fenix’s arrival, WWE has kept the brothers on separate brands. While Penta established himself on Raw, Fenix began a new tag team with Andrade on SmackDown, making an on-screen reunion seem distant until now.
