Big E features in Peacock series amid New Day storyline
Former WWE Champion appears in Peacock series while storyline explores strained relationship with The New Day.
Former WWE Champion makes television appearance while storyline tensions escalate with longtime allies Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Big E has expanded his media presence with a role in Peacock’s new series “Laid,” which debuted December 19. The appearance comes during a period of storyline friction with his former New Day teammates on RAW.
The two-time Intercontinental Champion recently offered to manage Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods amid their struggles on the red brand. However, the proposal led to confrontation as Kingston and Woods criticized Big E’s absence during his neck injury recovery.
The tension escalated on RAW when Rey Mysterio removed The New Day from the locker room, further highlighting the group’s current difficulties.
WWE modifies NXT match sequence following injury concerns
According to Fightful Select, WWE altered a planned spot between Ridge Holland and Trick Williams that would have featured a belly-to-belly suplex near the announcer’s desk.
The modification appears connected to Big E’s cervical spine fracture, which occurred during a March 2022 match with Holland. While Holland maintained neck-focused offense during the NXT Deadline match, the adjusted sequence saw Williams escaping the attempted suplex.
