Rivalry between Cody Rhodes and The Rock not over, warns WWE veteran

Eric Bischoff suggests The Rock and Cody Rhodes’ rivalry might not be over despite their recent interaction on RAW’s Netflix debut. The WWE Hall of Famer addressed fan criticism over The Final Boss’s sudden character shift from heel to babyface after congratulating Rhodes for his role as WWE’s figurehead.

Speaking on Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine, Bischoff urged fans to remain patient and pay attention to subtle details in The Rock’s behavior.

The reaction that they’ve got, because I’ve seen a lot of it, social media’s like, ‘What the f**k? We’re just supposed to forget?’ But, you know, Rock is really good at planting little Easter eggs along the way. The little quote to Cody, ‘Tell your mom I said Happy New Year,’ whatever the quote was to Cody’s mom that caught Cody by surprise, I don’t know, let’s just wait and see.

Unreleased segment filmed during Moana 2 premiere

The Rock and Cody Rhodes recorded additional content during the Moana 2 premiere that may never air. According to Fightful Select, the segment was designed to resolve their on-screen issues, similar to their RAW interaction. Sean Ross Sapp noted that following their recent exchange on RAW, there might no longer be a need to broadcast this material.

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were also present at the premiere, though their involvement in the filmed segment remains unconfirmed.
