TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy has set a new career objective: capturing the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship. Hardy outlined this goal during a recent appearance on the I Love Wrestling Podcast, describing it as a key accomplishment he wants to achieve before retirement.
Hardy explained that his ambition stems from a past experience of successfully envisioning a run in NXT, which became reality through the ongoing WWE–TNA partnership. “I definitely meditate, and I manifest a lot. As pro wrestlers, we manifest in their future all the time, but I kind of manifest these days. Over a year ago, if not two years ago, I was meditating and manifesting the thought of us showing up in NXT. Sure enough, that eventually happened, and definitely for me, it’s to be the NXT Champions. That is on my list of things to accomplish.”
The Hardy Boyz already appeared on NXT programming in early 2025 as part of the interpromotional storyline. During that run, they defeated the No Quarter Catch Crew and successfully defended their TNA World Tag Team Championship against Fraxiom.
Hardy’s NXT ambitions align with backstage discussions about the TNA invasion angle. According to Fightful Select, both Matt and Jeff Hardy have been pitched for a prominent role in the storyline, which is expected to continue well beyond TNA’s next pay-per-view.
This pursuit is part of what the brothers have described as “one last hurrah” in WWE, a finale that could also include a WWE Hall of Fame induction. In the meantime, The Hardys are scheduled to defend their TNA World Tag Team Championships against the Dudley Boyz in a Tables Match at TNA Bound For Glory on October 12.
The NXT Tag Team Championship remains one of the few accolades missing from The Hardy Boyz’s decorated résumé. Their career already features title reigns in WWE, WCW, ROH, and three runs with the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
